just a CJ showcasing the new game Banished, will start from here, entering narrative mode now, and a heads up, images may or may not be large:

the people of plymouth were forced to abandon their homeland by invading armies from the south, they headed north seeking new and fertile lands and came upon this place by a lake where two rivers meet, they called it Plymouth and founded a town there.

they spent the first year preparing gathering resources for winter would be coming soon,

they accomplished a lot forming a working settlement before winter making sure to construct homes for everyone along the way, forming bonds and courting one another as they did.

winter came and went, people flourished, and by the time summer began on the 4th year the people were flourishing, having begun to truly tame the land around them, it was a good culture, with a lot of potential, they recently constructed a trading post so they could continue to grow, hopefully their enemies wouldn't return to haunt them again.

wow, these are great looking pics Leo

Its most needed and appreciated !

Please continue this soon !
another hard winter, this one the hardest of all, resources are low and the people must huddle together for warmth, gathering firewood when the sky clears.

However there is a light at the end of this otherwise cold and grim season, a trader has finally arrived at the tradepost delivering much needed coats and firewood in exchange for whatever resources the people of Plymouth had extra.

more time passes as the construction of a market is completed, more homes built to ease the crowded housing of the few families that started, the population grows reaching 30, and a mine was completed allowing coal and iron ore resources to be mined, the people seem happy but still they have no livestock so they are living off the land, hopefully soon a trader will come and deliver sheep, goats, cattle, chickens, and any other animals to help make life just a little bit easier for the people of Plymouth

wow, super screenies, and the winter snow pics with this game look great leo.

Nice thoughts by you to show some good variety with the game..
total cool looking.
Whoo, looks like an awesome game! I'll have to try it some time.
that's right after another harsh winter the population began to boom going from 25 to 37 people over the course of a single year.

things are looking up for the people of plymouth, there certainly needed to be more houses, and with the arrival of a trader new crops have been brought in increasing food production and variety.

the town continues to grow, all resources are being produced, now it's time to see just how large plymouth can grow

due to rising population a medical facility had to be constructed as well, this to help prevent illness far better than a simple herbalist, after all, we are no longer hunter gatherers.

A/N (Authors Note): if you like how things are going so far, or want to make suggestions, post in the thread, lets see if we can make this more active!
Leo, it really looks like your coming along quickly with this game.

I especially like the winter time scene with the bridge pic Smile
well, not a huge update, but the people of plymouth lost nearly half our population this year because they grew too fast and were unable to keep things going to match the population, the last thing they built was a cemetery because people were getting old, and they needed somewhere to lay the dead to rest, unfortunately it seems to already be getting a lot of use.

Excerpt from the new town leader's speech: "we remember our dead, never forgotten, never again, this is what makes us civilized rather than the barbaric monsters who chased us from our lands.

we have come a long ways, and we have a long ways to go, rest in peace elders, your children shall take the reigns from where you have left us and continue onwards into the future, progressing to a new and better age."
